SUSPENSE: THE CARD GAME is a frighteningly fast game of deduction and bluffing. It's a tiny game for big brains. You'll be shocked at how much fun you can get from thirteen little cards.

Each time you play, there is a secret victory condition. Sometimes you want the lowest number in play, sometimes you want the highest number in hand... there are thirteen unique victory conditions possible. Fortunately, you have some clues in your hand to help your process of elimination. Your goal is to deduce a victory condition while also trying to meet it.

If you're the dealer, you know the secret! You might be lucky enough to be in a strong position. But don't get too cocky, the other players will closely watch your choices for clues! And if you're in a weak position, you could try throwing false leads to get the other players on the wrong trail. You'll have to be really clever to keep everyone in... SUSPENSE!

I finally got Suspense to the table! What a fun, tight little game! We only had time to play three rounds but let me say with 13 cards, this game is still actually a game, and a good one at that. There's a hidden victory condition (that face do [...]

Very slick game of deduction and bluffing, reminiscent of Love Letter, but more about figuring out the victory condition than eliminating the other players. Really well put together and rounds race by one the players get the basic flow. [...]

Quite intimidating during the first few plays but once you get the hang of it, is pretty great micro game. The only thing I didn't like about it is how the colors turned out. It looked a bit pale [...]

This is a great little game. I played it for the first time last night with my parents who are definitely not hobby gamers. I won the first game rather easily but by the second they had figured out what was going on and cleaned my clock. If you [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
