The Teoyohtlan Jungle maps are so evocative and inspirational that I based a campaign around them. The room sizes are perfect for my needs (only a few rooms and a boss chamber) and include secret entrances to the final encounter. Using these with the Jungle Modular Kit and Jungle Geomorphs allows me to setup any tropical island adventure.

With Heroic Maps' selection of Ports, Forts, Ships, Silt River Village, the Lost Tombs of Cuatemoc, and Captain Bastide's Pirate Den, I had everything I needed to put together an exciting jungle adventure just from the great artwork and layout the maps provide.

I would enjoy seeing more small dungeons from the Teoyohtlan Jungle. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two!

This was the perfect encounter i didn't know i needed. A chapter of my campaign was coming to a close and i had no memorable event to wrap it up and transition to the next story until I saw this mentioned in an OSE forum.

Even though this is written for D&D 5e, an experienced DM should be able to convert the ideas presented here to whatever system they're using. A nice addition is that the book goes beyond just fighting the colossus, but the motivations and consequences behind the encounter.

The downside to the book is the hip design choices made that make it both difficult to read and print.

That aside, if you are looking for a completely unexpected boss monster to throw at your party, I recommend, "On the Shoulders of Colossus."

The time my order was placed to the time I received my cards was two weeks.

The color of the printing looks great. I would say the color is within an acceptable tolerance of the original base set cards. I don't sleeve my cards and when added in with the other Class Decks that are all minimally off in color, it becomes indistinguishable.

The registration of print from front to back is slightly misaligned. Not by much in my opinion, but the cards are punched from the back, so that is a good thing. It means that the facedown cards are punched centered to the artwork's border. You want this instead of the other way around. If the cards were punched from the front you would notice the off-registered printing on the cards when they appear face down on the location decks.

The stock is comparable to the base set, and the card die is the same both in dimensions and round corner.

All the card proxies from the Season of the Shackles are represented here; Villains, Henchmen, Monsters, Locations, etc. The only thing missing are the Scenario cards, but it is assumed that you are playing from the Society Guild PDFs anyway making them unnecessary.

All-in-all; the 69 card deck was printed and delivered in a reasonable time, the printing and punching are well done, and the addition of actual cards versus proxies make it a whole new game.

Listed above are not complaints—just observations for other gamers wondering what to expect. For me, I couldn't be more pleased. I’m very satisfied with the product and can’t wait to start the Season!

Reaslly enjoy the artwork, but with no access to do anything with it beyond viewing it on your monitor, make its a bloated and oddly-shaped computer wallpaper.
