Content is well done!
Format: I don't like the 3 pages/3-colums with 1 page/2-colums. It means I can't print both double sided and fold nicely. Maybe it's because I'd prefer all one format (all 2- or all 3- colum pages) so I can fold it together. As it is, I agree the individual pages look nice and the flow makes sense.

Well worth my money! This is easily adapted to other genres and is mostly well laid out. Content = 5 stars
While the author assumes you understand that Angry Spirits have 2HP and can only be affected by magic (and may be pacified with a song), and Formites also have 2HP and attack magic users first, this was clarified in the "discussions" when someone asked, and Thank You for answering!
The main con for me is that the default two-page spread is perfect for veiwing Table 4: Treasures, since page 11 is next to page 12. However, when printed as a booklet, I have to flip back and forth between the pages to read the table since page 11 is the front side and page 12 is the back. I can't custom print the page order because there are 3 pages labled "1" in the PDF format.

Love this! When I solo'd this, I started out at the entrance to the ant mound (I didn't much care to deal with the town or travelling to there).
Using the Hex Flower exploration (haven't tried the Point Crawl or the Labyrinth Move Zone Crawl methods yet), I rolled 8 rooms (gaining and spending one Recon along the way) to get to the queen room. I had a blast abstracting the map! I enjoyed rolling to find out what the rooms were like (size, shape, and notable feature), and where I was in relation to the Hunter.
I appreciate the beastiary being multisystem (1e, OSE, OSRIC, 5e) with page numbers for each system for easy referance. The treasure is simple yet well done, with 3 magical items to make the game more interesting!
I will likely continue this game exploring the temple with another title: In the Heart of the Delve & Dangerous!

Great intro to the Tiny D6 system!
I agree that it makes sense that some monsters have different HPs than the core book given that the idea is to simplify enemy creation with only an HP value and trait list. This is a quickstart after all!
My only complaint with it is nitpicky, but I don't like how the HP catagories differ from the other books. In all the other books 1HP=fodder, 2HP=low, 3-5HP=medium. Here 1-2HP=fodder, 3HP=low, 4=medium.

Overall a good product. I like the simplicity and size, the're convenient.
2 reasons for the 4 stars. First, with no layers you can't print without the yellow background. Second, I'd prefer one with a blank skill list to let me fully customise that section.
Reveiw changed to 5 stars because the publisher fixed both complaints :)

Try getting an updated version of the product. The v1.1 version has a page without the yellow background. |

Thank you very much for the ideas for the improvements. |

I use this list mostly to uplift my own spirit when I'm feeling down. I can't help smiling while reading them :)

The simple dungeon crawl mechanics keep the game moving. This was my introduction to the Micro Chapbook RPGs, and although I haven't done anything with the space missions, planets, or colonies I appreciate them being included. While I enjoy fantasy, I am routinely on the lookout for good SF roleplays because of how scarce (in comparison) they are.
I like the simple mechanics: roll for the room size, room type, enemies, and combat. Then roll rewards and doors (that's my order of things since I figure my character looks around at doors after all the enemies are defeated). I do have to shade my "proficient" stat on my character sheet to remind myself to roll the two D6s since I keep forgetting if I don't have that kind of flag. I also like being able to pick it up for a few minutes or a couple hours depending on circumstances.
I do have two gripes though:
1)No bookmarks. Because the book is broken down into sections (instead of pages), I can't look at the ToC and know what page to head to. Very frustrating for me. (I have no complaints about the book being broken down like that. It does make a lot of sence to me.)
2)The Sci-Fi Quickstart gives the "Technician" class access to The Tech (aka reskinned magic). I love that! I'm all for "magic" being explained as technology. That "Tech" isn't even mentioned in this book (unless I missed it in my several reads). I'm not going to buy the Basic fantasy book due to lack of interest, so maybe I should buy the Advanced Character Guide instead to get the full Tech/magic list?
So: great random dungeon crawl game!

I love the presentation of these quick quests! Just a quick bit of flavor text and off I go: a door chart, a room chart, and an enemy chart. It's easy to print and game on the go with this (and the Sci-Fi quickstart rules). I wish there were more of these quick quests, or an option to easily print these from other adventures (although that would be more work for the author). I prefer Sci-Fi over Fantasy so it's great to find another fun option!

This product is well written and definately something I'll be using.
My one and only gripe (and reason for 4 stars and not 5) is that there's no table of contents, and no chapter distinctions, and no bookmarks. For example, uner the step 1 of character creation, it says to go to Chapter 7: Races for a history of each race, and Chapter 13: Advanced Races to see what other races someone can play. That leaves me a little confused if page 83 (or is it 81?) is supposed to be chapter 7 or 13. Fix the navigation and this is definatly a 5 star product.

Sarah,
Thank you very much for your review! You can currently find the Table of Contents on p. 172 of the .pdf. Once I have approved the POD proofs and ensured continuity between the POD and pdf versions, I will look into creating bookmarks for the .pdf. Thank you very much for the valuable feedback!

Sarah,
Wanted to give you a quick heads up to let you know that the bookmarked version of this product is now online. If you have not yet done so, you can get the updated PDF in your DriveThruRPG library.
Thanks,
Travis. |

This is a work in progress. It is well thought out. It has a fantasy feel to it while using the Traveller rules, including a mage career path. Many animal stats are provided, and a random encounter table in which to use them. At this time, only a few of the many planets have much in the way of stats and backgrounds. The authors provide a nice vampire background, and promise more on demons and werewolves. I look forward to future updates. Quality is 4 stars as it is not complete.
Sadly, the last update was back in 2012, and I question if werewolves, demons, and other denzines will ever be completed in their "weekly updates". The abandoned feel to this is why the 2 star rating.
