You may need a degree in 17th century European history to make head or tails of this. The secenario (if you can find it) is surrounded with so much extra useless information that you simply cannot find it. Art is cheap copyright free stuff from old history books. Maps are blurry and difficult to see. The author just seems to want to fill page after page of useless information. For example, a paragraph on why an inkeeper chose a certain vineyard!! C'mon guys! Where is the scenario. It's a shame really because I do like the other stuff from Cakebread and Walton, which do have a semi humorous i.e. read old school Warhammer FRP vibe to it. Sadly the humour is lacking in this one, or maybe it is but I could't find it. I'm annoyed I bought the print version because no doubt it'll sit on a shelf never to be read again!! On a positive note the cover art looks great and also the few character potraits that feature in the book looks great as well. Advice to players of Renaissance is to stick to the King and Commonweath campaign and other C&W products because they are really good.

PDF Version A great and different addition to the Clockwork & Chivalry line. This (the first of a campaign) is set in Europe rather than the United Kingdom and features extra rules for the creation of more diverse PCs. The adventure itself is well written and well worth the money with a well woven story and background which is very tricky to comment on without giving any spoilers.

The art and maps are decent too and have quite a period look to them.

Rest assured you won't be disappointed

As a side note : With a bit of work this adventure can be also used quite easily with the Renaissance RPG Deluxe rules, BRP and CoC.
