Infinity Plot Deck

Watermarked PDF

T%he ultamate plot Swiss Army Knife, this is a plot deck like no other. These cards can be used with any game, in any genera. They can also be used over and over again to give your games some extra flavor, session affter session. Use the Infinity cards as often as you would like. Pull one every scene or just when the players or yourself seem suck. Use these cards to prompt a response from your Players in any given scenario in any given setting. The players’ responses will  usually give you a good idea of what they expect out of the scene that is unfolding before them. Fulfill these expectations at your discretion, by using the context of that scene AND the players’ reactions to influence how you portray the plot point on the card. And if you find yourself stuck on a card, there are handy suggenstions at the bottom of each card to help you along and to draw further inspiration. The responses will very from scene to scene and give your plots a more dynamic feel. For example, if the PCs discover some mysterious writings and the they asks if it’s in Elvish, use your story telling skills to fulfill their expectations in a creative way.

Is there a possibility of this being POD? It was brought to my attention via the deal of the day but I don't buy cards like this in PDF format since my home printer sucks. I prefer to buy them in print.

44, but be warned they are not all genre generic. "A ninja emerges from the shadows"; "A small scale terrorist attack occurs" and "you encounter a time traveller" are some particularly notable ones which wouldn't necessarily fit in a fantasy setting, for example. Easy enough to make more generic, so it begs the question: "why didn't they"?

OkieDoke... If I may offer some suggestions/errata for future editions?

I would put dark letters on a lighter background, perhaps a newsprint? Saves us a lot on ink.

Make them a little more interesting by changing the font and using upper and lower case. Maybe Times New Roman if you are emulating a newspaper clipping.

The fine print at the bottom should probably be right side up.

Rumors is spelled rumors, not roomers. ;)
NPCs and PCs instead of PCS.
"Secret message is 'revealed'..." Not reviled.
AWAL is AWOL (Absent With Out Leave) All caps is correct.
"A vehicle approaches the party as if TO pass on by..."

Stowaway on your Moped brought a laugh until I though about a venomous snake in the saddlebags...

Anyway, keep up the good work! Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
