  • Your whole family--adults, teens and kids--will enjoy playing together; recommended for ages 8 and older, but younger kids can play with adult help
  • Fast game play with a combination of luck and strategy
  • A simple and addictive game, you’ll enjoy playing over and over
  • Includes 52 colorful game cards, 2 instruction cards, and a QR code link to video instructions – learn to play in minutes

Rotten Tomatoes is a fun and addictive card game for the whole family. With a combination of luck and strategy, players must get rid of all their cards to avoid being the last person playing, the “Rotten Tomato.”

Game play is quick with each round lasting around 5 minutes. You won’t be able to play just one round either, as no one wants to quit when they are the reigning Rotten Tomato.

Players take turns getting rid of the cards in their hand by matching or beating the top card of the discard pile. If they can’t beat it, they can bail themselves out with a specialty card or they’ll have to pick up the whole pile and add it to their hand. Empty your hand and you can turn your attention to the unknowns of your garden cards. Get lucky and you can go out, get unlucky and you might be the next Rotten Tomato.

This game is simple enough for an 8-year-old child to play and have fun, and strategic enough for adults to enjoy it too!

Rotten Tomatoes is designed and printed in the USA on a high quality, silk finish, 320gsm black core playing card stock for durability and ease of use during game play. Each deck contains 52 game cards (44 numbered cards and 8 specialty cards) as well as 2 rules and instruction cards.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
