Selected Option:

In the latter half of the 21st century, humanity begins the colonization of space by establishing a permanent manned outpost on the rim of Shackleton Crater, at the lunar South Pole. But when contact with the previous crew is lost, it is now up to a new team of brave explorers to find out what happened...and why the moonbase has suddenly gone silent.

Moonglow is a short near-future scenario for Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition set on the moon.

The PDF product includes:
  • A complete 14-page scenario, with background source material, maps and handouts detailing the layout, operation and inhabitants of Moonbase Shackleton and the surrounding lunar landscape.
  • Four ready-to-run, pregenerated investigator characters plus an additional blank character sheet for creating your own.
  • A separate cover PDF for ease of self-printing.
The printed version has a full-color cover with black and white interior text.

A amused follow up on running this adventure. My group loves it! I knew that many of them were space groupies, so I read up on all of the moon colonization stuff I could find. Well, find time to read up on.
They were absolutely thrilled at the amazing detail I'd managed to soak up, and they loved my remade maps.
The group ignored the demands that they leave, and they touched down the lander exactly where they were suppose to.
I had increased the number of players from 4 to six, as that is the typical size of my player group.
And then 4 people badly failed the roll to think that there was something wrong with the speed of the approaching moon rover. They were all standing around in their vacuum suits like, "Oh, there's our Moon-Uber! I wonder if we should tip the driver?"
Finally someone barely rolled out a success, "Umm, guys... ...I think there may be a problem..." That was followed by a mad scramble away from the lander.
Our 4 hours session ended for...See more

I really love this scenario, but wanted the maps to be better for online gaming. It was a great deal of fun diving into the real world of space exploration again to find pictures that could be tweaked into maps to help my players with their theater of the mind. And as long as I was at it, I grabbed a bunch of real world astronauts which I turned into tokens for play.
As it was published the adventure looked to be lots of fun. I'm looking forward to my group's reaction to the expanded adventure.

A little jem of a scenario, that is perfectly doable in one session of 3 hours

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
