Amazing book with superb support from Ferderico. Highly recommend if your group are mature roleplayers that like to build a unique story as they go. The discord channel has helped me tons too.

A few weeks ago I purchased this RPG on impulse. The name of the game brings with it such lovely exotic galactic mysteries wrapped up in a bunch of conspiracy theories written about by famous authors like Zecharia Sitchin. I didn't know what to expect when I purchased it, other than getting something new.

Wow, was I impressed! The whole package is there; story setting, game purpose, player motivation and mechanics of play. It's awesome to dive into. One of those games where you can be happy just reading the core book for entertainment.

Thank you to the game designers and publisher. I'll be a happy returning customer.

How about a preview that shows more than the first intro page of text? ToC is OK but so many art and credits pages add nothing to a preview. I'd like to see what distinguishes this game mechanically, not just a slightly longer description than the product page.

The mechanics part of the book kicks in the second half. In a nutshell, the system has a simple task resolution mechanic, and uses a pool of Memory Points that characters can use to recover their memories. They get an opening to use those everytime they roll, and when they do, they succeed at the roll, write a Memory in their Journal (related to the action being performed), and gain a permanent bonus to that action. The system then dives deep into expanding this mechanic. For example, the more Memory Points you spend, the more significative the memory is, and the larger the bonus. You can also choose to fail a roll, get a permanent penalty, but get Memory Points in return. Basically, the characters develop mechanically and narratively at the same time with every new memory.

There's also Revelations, which are strange abilities that you unlock everytime you fill one of your Journal pages. These make it so that you might get Memory Points back when you write your memories in rhyme, might allow you to...See more

d4s you gotta be kidding. Those things are caltrops waiting to send you on an emergency visit to your local GP. Why d4? I can understand why you didn't go for d5s but d6s are like the world's most ubiquitous dice whereas d4s should be outlawed, and in fact in my house they are (we d8/2). Please reconsider . . .

Caltrops can be dangerous! There's twelve sided d4s out there (see Aleksandr's comment below linking to the Nibiru ones). I own some caltrops and d12 d4s and it's a matter of taste. If you want your dice to roll better on a surface, d12 d4s are the ideal.

There's plenty of reasons for using d4s, but the main one is simplicity. It handles a very low batch of integers and outcomes, so they're a great choice to pair up with Nibiru's system, which is focused on the Memory and more setting-focused mechanics operating on top of a very simple and straightforward task resolution system.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
