Somewhere in the beginning it says around 250 meters to a hex.

What scale game is this? Is it like anything else? The copy doesn't tell me too much.

Hi - the scale is about a quarter of a click to a hex and each height step is about 50 meters. You are right however, we seem to have made a versioning error after the first push and pushed text without that part but it is now fixed. Many thanks for pointing that out.

The scale is one of the most problematic things in a hex game - it has to interface the speeds of the units and the weapon ranges with "reality" and most of these "specs" are "post-truth" especially when it comes to WP material. Since board games are "discrete" ie you can not have 6.25 hexes/turn as a moverment allowance or .22 hexes as range you work in "ranges" - 0 to 50 meters , 200 to 250 meters etc.

Thank you again let us know how to do make our work better.

kindest regards

Hi !
This is explained in the counters explanation section in the rule book.
Counters represent full section/batteries/ to demi-platoons or full platoons. FW a/c and helicopters are represented as sections. We also have planned for inclusion of Tactical level ballistic strike units (Frog-7 battery ! ), regimental level SAMs and associated sensors that will be deployed in single units but that is somewhat in the future as we havent worked out quite enough yet.

Happy gaming !

Sorry - one more addition - the maximum size is demi-company for some older tank units ( the Su-100-54 for example ) for reasons of balance ( so that that company of Cypriot T-34/85s have a chance to duel with the Turkish M47A1s on the beach or Indian AMX13/90s can dent some Pakistani M48s). When you are creating your own scenario - you can gauge what is right amount after a few playtests.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
