Artistes Misérables

Artistes Misérables is a darkly humorous race-to-the-bottom card game where each player is a 19th century artist, and the goal is to die as broke, sick and depressed as possible, but only after leaving behind a body of unsold work that will not be appreciated for its greatness until long after you are dead. While you are trying to die in misery, you are also trying to make your fellow artists as happy, healthy and prosperous as possible, thus denying the suffering needed for true creativity.

Wake up face-down in the gutter, treat your consumption with long walks by the marsh, get stabbed by your lover and develop an unhealthy obsession with absinthe. And paint stuff. All in a day's work for Artistes Misérables.

This is the basic cards for the game Artistes Misérables. You can download the rules as a free pdf, but you will have to supply your own tokens (if for some reason your order does not give you the rules pdf, contact me and I'll send them). The free pdf is just the rules and is not a print & play set of cards.
