Loot Deck

A huge system agnostic Loot Deck of 145 cards for your RPG campaign during the post-apocalypse.

Each loot item is fully illustrated with exclusive paintings and comes with basic system agnostic information and weight provided both in metric and imperial units.

Some cards also provides the possibility of subrolls for more specific information whenever needed. Use as much or little information needed.

The items make up a wide selection of tools, utilities, supplies, food, beverages, machines, hygiene, medical, protection, weapons and basic survival items. All items are either directly useful in a post-apocalypse environment or at least encourages roleplaying. Most of the items are good to go in an 80ies, 90ies and 2000s time period.

This deck is built upon the Post-Apocalypse Loot book, providing a quicker and more visual result.

Mix and match the items that are best suitable for your campaign and balance the ratio of tools, food, supplies, clothes, healing, protection and weapons by trimming the deck.

Please note: Two of the images are used twice in this deck, to generate both unknown and known contents of Canned Food and Pills, so there are 143 unique paintings in this 145 card deck.

Heads up!
Second edition on its way: I will also like to inform you that a second edition for 2023 of this card deck is now in the works, since the first edition took this long time to get approved, printed and delivered. That is why this first edition from 2022 will be on sale until the second edition is proofed and ready.

PUBLISHER
The second edition will have 165 cards, divided into three decks of 55 cards each. The three decks can be bundled into one order. There are minor changes, more tables, new paintings and additional information for some of the existing cards, but the major difference is the inclusion of encumbrance units for each item as well as a new back side, so they will unfortunately not be compatible with this first edition unless you plan to use them in colored sleeves. That is why I wanted to make the heads up for the upcoming release, since this first edition took so long to get approved and published.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
