The Brown Witch Lenny is a cheeky BBIPOC Halloween Witch Lenormand and everyone has skirts and cowboy boots!

This is a fun. cheeky, witchy, BBIPOC Lenormand deck.  The deck includes Keyword cards and a PDF guidebook with the option to add-on a physical guidebook. I love Lenormand for hotline clients but I wanted a BBIPOC deck, a less colonial deck, and I wanted to always have card inserts, plus be colourful and fun...and while we are at I Want A BBIPOC Witchy Deck - without tokenism or cultural appropriation.  And that's how this deck came to be.

I prefer playing card inserts in my Lenormand cards. This is because I use them and  apply playing card roles to the court cards if they make sense in a reading.  They might tell us something about who the Seeker or Desire are or people around them influencing the situation.  Like Lenormand these roles are literal and to the point.  So I created  people in the court cards.  I liked this on two fronts: 1 it allowed me to see these courts more easily,  2 it allowed me to create more Witches in this Brown Witchy Lenormand.  My goal here was to make sure the card still clearly showed you it's symbol: Scythe, Crossroads, Fish, House. but also reminded you it can be a person.  I like People mixed in with my symbols, I am a reader of people.   I didn't change the system....I highlighted lesser used aspects of the system.

This deck is playing card embossed card stock on a US Poker sized card and comes in a custom tuck box.  The deck includes 36 Lenormand cards, 3 alternate cards Seance / Coffin, Familiar / Dog and Trials / Cross.  There are 5 keyword cards (front and back), 1 double backed card and 1 Carte Blanche spell card and 1 QR code card taking you to the webpage with the PDF guidebook. A physical guidebook is available seperately, you will be sent the link when purchasing The Keywords cards will be sufficient for the practiced Lenormand reader looking to see where this deck is coming from, and how I used the court cards.  The guidebook gives instructions on how to read a card within a reading and is ideal for the new or newer Lenormand reader.  The guide book includes card description and use, samples, Grand Tableau and the man inner boxes I use in or outside of a Grand Tableau reading.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
