SHRED! The Card Game is a multi-player card game that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

The game takes the idea of trick-lines from various Action Sports, where a sequence of tricks is performed.

---

Each card in the deck displays one of 12 surfing maneuvers.

Players will draw and discard these cards throughout the game, and use the cards in their hand to to create a sequence of tricks.

Create longer sequences or stack higher scoring maneuvers to outdo your opponents, and take home the win!

The game was developed with everyone in mind and no prior surfing knowledge is necessary.

However, it was also designed to mimic surfing and those with in-the-water experience may enjoy the challenges of the more advanced game variations.

HOW TO PLAY

– Objective –
Surf “waves” by combining trick cards into a sequence of maneuvers. More difficult tricks score higher points. Whoever has the highest total points at the end of the game wins.

– Cards in the Deck –
Basic Tricks: (1-2 pts) Take Off, Bottom Turn
Tier 1 Tricks: (4-6 pts): Snap, Cutback, Floater
Tier 2 Tricks: (7-9 pts) Off the Lip, Roundhouse, Tail Slide
Tier 3 Tricks: (10-12 pts) Aerial, Barrel Ride, Air Reverse 360
Wild Cards: Drop In (-2 pts), Leash Pull* (+4 pts)
* - Leash Pull can only be played against Drop In

– Setup –
Shuffle the deck and deal 10 cards to each player.
Place the deck of remaining cards in the middle and
use the top card to create a discard pile next to it.
Re-shuffle and re-use the discarded cards as needed.

– Turn Order / Actions –
On a turn a player can discard/pickup new cards,
and then has the option to play one wave or a wild card.
Play then continues to the next player.

Discard/Pickup: A player can first discard and pickup
as many cards as they have in hand.

Play a Wave: Lay down a sequence of cards
with the highest scoring combination of tricks.
The sequence must start with a Take Off card and a Bottom Turn card must be played in between each trick.

Play a Wild Card: If a player is holding a Drop In card, the may lay it onto another player’s wave, instead of playing their own wave. If a player is holding a Leash Pull card, they may play it on a wave that has a Drop In on it.

– End Game –
You can choose to do timed events, race to a point total (ie: first to 100 points), or simply play until nobody has any more moves.

– Game Variations –
Bonus: Add 10 points for the longest sequence
Party Wave: When one plays a wave, so must all
Competition: Only keep your top two scoring waves.
As the game continues, replace lower scoring waves
with better cards.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
