I got this and all of the rest of the expansions / main deck after seeing one of the cards in the Alleyman Tarot. This deck is wonderfully weird and I'm looking forward to using it. The colors are muted and there is female nudity. The only things that could make this deck better are male nudity (Equal Opportunity, eh?) and some pops of color. The base deck along with the expansions allow you to personalize your deck and switch out and replace cards. Looking forward to the final expansion.

Ordered this as part of my search for tarot boosters, such as are used for so called 'magpie' tarot decks, and also after seeing the beautiful artwork of the Page of Swords from this set that was incorprated into the Alleyman Tarot kickstarter. This product is a collection of cleverly designed cards consisting of a 14 card minor arcana suite of Eggs, with several alternates, and a collection of alternate major arcana cards. The art is bright and evocative, and the ideas behind each card are clever and thought provoking. They are cut to a standard 2.75 x 4.75 inches in size, but the cardstock used is as thin as I've seen; they will tear, i found by testing the cover card, but it takes more force than what i give my decks normally. The cards have a somewhat textured feel that is visually noticable- they are more matte than glossy. And it should be noted that the card backs are not all aligned- most have one or two thin white bars along the edges in varying places. The card fronts also have a varying frame, but it doesn't affect the artwork in any noticable way. There is no real guidance included for divination, but the cards are certinaly evocotive enough to express themselves as needed in readings.

For those looking to enhance or or change out cards in their tarots, this is an excellent set to start with. The physical material & its texture may not be for all, but they feel like they should last long and well, with care.

There are gems in every one of the expansion packs. I especially love the new variants for Judgement and the Two of Cups. The Jack of Eggs is also a favorite. I'm glad there will be (at least) one more expansion (probably the Suit of Tentacles). Of course, I'd welcome additional variant decks, should Mr. Simmans get additional ideas in the future. It's fun to refresh the base deck by swapping out a few cards from time to time.

With the addition of the Egg Suit, my Pulp of Tarot deck is getting mighty thick, and I couldn't be happier. Bring on the Suit of Tentacles and additional Super-Arcana and variants. This deck is increadibly fun, and I'm up for any additional cards Mr. Simmans may cook up in the future.

I love the idea of expansion packs for a Tarot deck! It's great to have additional Super-Arcana cards, and it's really fun to try to decide between which of variants to use in the main deck. I hope these expansions keep coming. I'd love to eventually have variant options for all of the Major Arcana and Court cards.

What's not to like? The Pulp of Tarot features fantastic artwork, a sense of humor, and subversive NSFW content. Plus, this deck appeals to the nerd in me from multiple angles. As a comics nerd, I love the underground comix look of the images. As a pulp novel nerd, I love the subject matter. And as a obsessive collector, I love that the deck is ever evolving through variants and expansion packs.

I buy tarot cards for the artwork and as a brainstorming tool, so I can't speak to how effective the deck is for divination. However, in terms of pure fun, it can't be beat.

I love The pulp of tarot collection! The artwork on each card is beautiful. I am a novice as far as reading tarot cards but I knew when I saw these cards I had to have them!
