Monsoon Market is a fun, quick game. It's fast and simple to learn but with just enough moving parts to give it surprisingly deep play. There is plenty of opportunity for varied strategy beyond the obvious, giving it great replay value. The art is beautiful, and as usual in Daniel's games the graphic design is stellar.
For those who enjoy hacking games, the variety of commodities provides plenty of fertile ground for house rules and homemade variants.
About the only flaw I can find is that one or two of the bonus actions some cards give are a little ambiguous; however, playing through once or twice should give players a good enough feel for the game to resolve any questions well enough.
I highly recommend Monsoon Market for ages 10 and up. Counting and some reading is required, and color blindness should pose no issue.
