Picked up this along with a few other Spica books. I really thought they did a great job with the new careers and felt they offered some fun shifts for players without becoming munchkinish. I loved the d66 charts as well. I thought the layout was nice, the information was presented clearly and was easy to use. In fact the only thing I didn't like was having to deside which of the new careers to play first. LOL

I am glad I bought this book and will be picking up the 2nd and 3rd books as well for my collection. I would recomend this for any GM or player looking to try some new careers without ruining th egame balance.

I purchased the Compendium 2 first. I really liked it, so I figured I should return and pick up the original. I have not been disappointed. It too is filled with lots of great d66 charts. But to be honest it also is a gold mine of great ideas. Just looking over some of the lists causes ideas to spring up in my mind. Not just a great place to randomly select a name, but to look at a name and begin to build out who or what it is. I have had fun just reading various entries and charts. I strongly encourage any GM to pick both this compendium and the 2nd one as well. They are both great additions to my collection and will be very helpful resources in my creative efforts.

I was looking for some new Events to use. I asked for suggestions and was told this was what I wanted. So I came and bought it. I was not disapointed in any way. Not only did it have an event table for "Life Events" but lso had events for each of the core careers in the Traveller core rule set. Some fo these are great background ideas. Add to that the book has many more tables that will be quite useful I am sure. Overall this product was well worth the price I paid for it. I would strongly recomend this to any Traveller GM. I am glad I added this to my collection.

I picked up this setting with the hope of using some of it with the Dark Camelot setting. I hope some of this setting can be used when the players visit the Unseelie Court and it's surounding space as well as the forests around the gate they will have to use to get there. {Evil Grin}.

Once again I have found the simplicity of the offering does not hurt the usefulness of the setting. Clean and useful rules and other items. Well worth the $2 in my opinion.

I have to say I love the idea behind this setting as well as the added special rules to bring it to life. The desire to play in this setting and descover what it has to offer is built with a surprisingly small number of rules and space. Two pages printed back to back on a single sheet brings more excitement than many of the 100+ page setting books out there. Well done GRAmel.

I picked up this "expansion" for the core Adventurers! RPG with the hope it would be as good as the core game was. It was. In a very simple and clean set of rules they have presented to us enough new material to make the classic dungeon crawl both fun and exciting. I believe this game is on to something important. A game does not need hundreds of pages and thousands of rules to be fun to play and fun to run. The trust of the GM and players to collaberate to bring a great time to the table is refreshing in the face of the mega rule sets.

I picked this up after seeing a review. I was curious to see how two sheets of rules could be worth playing. To say that I am impressed by this set of rules would be an understatement. I think the author has done a great job of giving us, the players and GMs a clean and simple set of rules that really cover what would be needed to play a game. The mechanics are easy to learn and work well.

I believe many of th ehard core RPG fans would liek this set of rules if they could get past the fact it is a RLRPG and just try it.

One of the things I love about these Gypsy Knight products is the effort they put into the complete package. It is not just a deck plan nor is it just game specs. They work to bring together a back story, logical reasons why it even exists, and then add in game stats and a great deck plan to go with it. Another purchase that I am very happy with. Keep it up Gypsy Knight, you are doing a great job.

I am having a great time both reading the various beta materials as they come out and in posting feedback and interacting with others in the Beta forum on Mongoose's website forum.

They have made some changes to the original Mongoose Traveller rules. But it si still clearly a Traveller based game. Some of the changes feel more like clean ups but others are quite a new change to the game. Do I think this product is for everyone? No. If you do nto plan to play some test games and offer feedback, the product will seem too unfinished and in need of fixing. But if you are willing to read, play, offer feedback, offer ideas, and help discuss/debate various items within the rules than this product could eb well worth the money.

This was well worth the cost. The background information was quite complete and the feel of the "history" and present state felt realistic. This material fit well with the previous materials I have bought from them. A lot of the art is the same CGI type feel, but they did a good job using it to show off various elements of the text. Uniforms for example. The equipment section contained many items you would expect from a ground force book, but because they tried to tie in the background it made even such generic items as a combat knife feel interesting.

If you love Traveller an love military settings/organizational backgrounds this is a great product for you.

I like the setting, the background was well done. I would have liked to see more of their materials converted over to Traveller but I understand their now supporting their system.

If you are a Traveller fan and want a fun and different background to use, you need to buy this book.

This is a fresh look at a Traveller classic design. I loved the way the book handled the variants and the images were fantastic. Well done and worth every credit, er um penny. :-)

I really enjoy the products from this publisher, but this one is my favorite so far. I loved the design and the history/background given. I could see me using this in game as either the PCs ship or a ship that shows up often.

Well done in both art and writing.

I found the books very informative. I do wish they offered books on the other Major races. Seems odd to do all but two.

I also would love to know what, if anything, will change with the 2nd edition they are working on right now.

In any case, glad I bought this.

I loved the way this setting is handled. It feels realistic and I had fun reading the product. I would suggest this setting to anyone looking for an alternate to the 3I setting of Traveller.
