The Palace of Pain's Pleasures is a fantastic follow-up to Off to a Weird Start, but you should pick it up even if you don't have the first adventure. This is a well-constructed, inventive, and downright FUN adventure set in Ravnica.
What's Great: Gargantuan animated playhouse-construct thing that left me with a smile on my face as I pictured the characters scrambling around this thing to stop it. The module is creative and never felt like it relied too heavily on tried-and-true Dungeons & Dragons tropes. The art is evocative and fits the Cult of Rakdos themes very well. While I doubt your Tier 1 characters will be taking down the Palace, but the stat block and art for it alone are worth its weight in gold. New magic items and NPC stat blocks really add to the overall value of the module.
What Could Use Work: I have to dig pretty deep for something here. There were a few minor editing errors, but none led me to question how to run the module or took away from the fun at all.
Definitely pick this one up, even if you skipped Off to a Weird Start.
