A few weeks ago I bought the cards on PDF and printed to cardstock to try them out. Fantastic! I’ve run DM sessions where I struggled for a name or some sensual observation other than “what you see” and “what you hear”, and these were the perfect answer. Now, some of the sensations/names/etc. are duplicated from deck to deck, but so what? It’s far cooler to pick out the deck that “matches” the theme/genre of the game I am running and I love to support small business and creators. Win win here, folks.
So… I did it. I went ahead and ordered the actual cards. All of the sets.
They are stunning. They’ve got a great weight to them and shuffle so much more easily than cardstock (I know, Captain Obvious here). The printing is crisp and legible, and the little touches on the cards elevate them to a whole new level of coolness.
My only question is: when are you going to create a Film Noir set? Or maybe one with a Greco-Roman history theme? hint hint
