It’s one of my favorite games. The rules are very easy to learn, and the mechanics are simple but a lot of fun. Each match is unique, which gives it great replayability. I’ve built my own coliseum-style combat arena and several formats for betting boards and tournaments to play with friends and family. I definitely recommend this great game. I hope the creator keeps updating the rulebook with new gladiator and beast profiles, and clarifies a few points

I'm an RPG Pen & Paper Gamer and I use these cards to support my sci-fi sessions and as these cards are setting free I can use them for my various rpgs and the cards always work well. I draw several cards and let myself be inspired by it. This works very well when placing the cards above each other with only the top sticking out - this way I have a planet with noz only traits from the planet itself but also geo events. Combining them interestingly is very fun and exactly where I'm inspired!
For those among you who like to plan ahead you can plan out a whole planetary system, especially if you add the other Galaxy Builder Deck modules together. Laying them out before a game and covering the planets up with black cut outs and revealing them once the characters explore them is quite fun and works very well.
Even alone each card is easy to use and works very well when you just need an idea or some more facts about an ecosystem you haven't thought of bef...

I draw several cards and let myself be inspired by it. This works very well when placing the cards above each other with only the bottom sticking out and turned around - this way I have my planet with more than 3-4 traits. Combining them interestingly is very fun and exactly where I'm inspired!

I love this guy's work. I've gotten every deck available and they elevate the game to a whole new level. It makes the game challenging even for veteran heroes.
The dungeon event decks make slogging to the exit exciting and potentially rewarding. With both event decks you can really theme the available events to suit the quest or campaign.

I purchased this deck after just a quick glance at a couple of samples on a Facebook post. I could not be happier. These will help build up my Heroquest game into a more RPG like game without the overly complicated rules. Decks like this are a great way of doing that. The rules for cards are built into the game already, so this is easy to implement. Its just more meat with the taters.
I may be a little late to the party… But I do love Gruntz. And these cards are a wonderful addition to an already stellar game! Ideal for solitaire play, same side or opposing forces.
If you like story.. If you like drama.. And if you like a narrative approach to your game… My suggestion is to pick these up.

Axianquest decks are by far the best decks I've ever added to Heroquest, simple yet add soooo much more to the game. Purchased all of them!
I don't understand why anyone would be upset about how long it takes to deliver when it's POD and stated clearly how long it will take to deliver. Completely unfair to the publisher to write a negative review when that's something completely out of their control.
Anyways, buy them all, you won't regret it!
Fun game! I printed this out and tried playing against myself the first night and then invited a friend to play a two player game. We enjoyed the game and it will probably end up in our regular rotation.
I look forward to when this will be available on regular playing cards! I may even pick up an extra copy or two for gifts.
I thought I was getting 4 but only 1 came. This is because the [4] in the item description refers to its group number and not the number of copies. This is confusing to new players.
I enjoy this game but I'll admit, I have a hard time remembering what all the various cards do so I am constantly looking them up in the book (the reference sheet does not mention what they do) and that can get tedious. I like the original version of the game better but I like that this one works with a smaller deck, making the game a bit tighter.
I've had these cards for about an hour now and I can't believe how powerful and useful they are.
Need a planet? Draw two cards. Hmm, the gatherers and the lovers. How about "Gathering of Lovers?" Translate that into Latin and I have a planet name: Congregatio Amantium, most likely shortened to "'Mantium" in crew slang, especially since all the planets in the system are gatherings of one sort or another. Or maybe it's تجمع العشاق, just to keep my crew on their toes.
Need an opponent? Draw two cards. Nine of Crowns, Three of Roses. MONSTROUS VEGETABLES??!!! Hell yeah, nerds!!
What are they going to do? Nine of Crowns - attack! How they gonna do it? Four of Swords - by OOZING!
Need a location or point of interest? One card, take the rune and the creature icon. Tow of Coins yields "birth" and "beasts," so it's the Birthplace of the beasts or "Natale Bestiarum."
I was going to buy another specialty deck for sci...
